The Lord has given me some wonderful opportunities to serve Him as wife, mother, author, ladies Bible teacher and speaker. As you explore this website, you will get to know my precious family and me through the personal experiences that I share. In the About Me section you can get to know us all! But this site is more than just a blog about my family.

My goal is to introduce you to my Lord and Savior and give you a glimpse of what He means to me. My desire is for you to find here thoughts that will challenge and encourage you to grow in grace and in your knowledge of Jesus Christ. Welcome to the Bible Study section of my web site. Here you will find some ideas on how to make your personal Bible study more effective. Study questions for selected books of the Bible are given for your daily reading of God’s Word. A brief summary of content will introduce each chapter. The questions will focus your attention and serve as a guide to help you understand and apply God’s Word to your every day life.

I’ve been a teacher from my earliest memories. My dolls and reluctant little sister would compose my class while I taught everything from spelling and math to my favorite Bible stories. When I needed to declare a major in college, the decision was obvious. The time had simply arrived for me to get the credentials to validate my years of experience.

God has taken my early love for teaching children and gradually matured my audience as I’ve aged. Although I love teaching the children that visit me on field trips at the school district’s science center, my favorite classes are filled with dear ladies hungry to grow in God’s Word. While I am enjoying writing, my greatest joy and privilege is to share who God is and the truths of His Word.

Listed below is a sampling of some of the studies I’ve developed and presented and a brief description of each.

About ten years ago, I began a search to know God better. I had trusted Christ as my Savior as a little girl (as you learned from reading my testimony), but I knew I was at a point in my life that I needed to stop, sit at His feet, and learn of Him. That search began with my Bible. Obviously to know God better, I first had to go His Book written especially to me. The pages of His Word became even dearer to me as I sought His precious face within even familiar passages. I was looking only for Him.

It was my Bible that I'd read first each day; but then as time allowed, I began to read other books. These books were by authors that I knew I could trust to point me to my blessed Savior.

I began to keep a list of the books that I read. I am amazed when I look back over my list these years later; it has grown to quite lengthy. I heard someone once say that who you are tomorrow will be determined by the people you meet and the books you read. I can honestly say that many of these books have become very dear friends. With each one considered in the light of God's Word, they have guided me, encouraged me, and challenged me as I continue to grow in the "grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

"My Bookshelf" will give you reviews of my favorite books. I will share my thoughts about the book, the author, and the topics covered. I'll include quotes that have had an impact on my personal life and walk with the Lord. This information will hopefully help you decide if this is a book you[ES][SQ]d like to add to your bookshelf!

Time spent in God's Word should be our favorite time of the day! The time that we spend with the Lord should give us encouragement and grace as we face the day ahead. My desire is for you to find here a passage to meditate on and just a few thoughts that will draw your heart and thoughts to our great God.

Please take the time to read the passages from your Bible and then together we will consider how we can apply these thoughts to our lives.

That I May Know Him will introduce you to three Bible women whose lives were changed in incredible ways through personally meeting God. Although these ordinary women will become memorable through the details of their lives, it is the character of their God that captures the focus. What He was to these women He desires to be to each of us. If your heart longs to know God, to know that He loves you and cares, this study will give you great encouragement and comfort.

From Hagar’s struggle, we learn that our God graciously provides our every need.

We learn God’s lovingly care for each individual from His afternoon with the woman at the well.

From Hannah’s broken heart, we realize that our God faithfully hears the cries of the hurting.
