Beths Corner
Well, my part of this website needs to get underway. So I’ll start by telling a little about myself. I finished my undergraduate degree at Bob Jones University in May 2004, and I got married 2 weeks later to Jon Kopp. Ten days after we were married, we found ourselves at Northland Camp and Conference Center working with the junior camp, Pioneer Village. Jon and I had worked there previously, and we both wanted to spend one last summer at Northland. After a great summer at Northland, we moved to a Knoxville suburb. Currently, my husband Jon and I are working at a church in East Tennessee, Oak Ridge Baptist Church. My husband is the youth/music pastor, and I am the church pianist (Yes, I’m sure this is unbelievable to those of you that knew me before) discipling teen girls, and filling in for whatever else is needed. I also just started a full-time position at the local high school. This is something Jon and I have been praying about since we moved here in August of 2004. (I'lll share more about this later) I’m a teacher’s assistant working with a deaf student, Stephanie is a senior in high school. My responsibility is to go with Stephanie to classes and type on a laptop what is going on in class. She reads the lectures from what I have typed for her. She seems to be doing a lot better with someone to help communicate with her.

I know my mom’s desire is to minister to the hearts of ladies, especially ministry wives all around the world. Before about a year ago, I would have said that I completely understood the ministry and there was nothing that could surprise me. You see, I grew up in a ministry home, and I knew from my early teens that the Lord was calling me to some type of ministry. My parents never hid the difficulties on ministry from me, so I was very aware what type of problems would be familiar to me and my husband as we embarked on our first ministry. The Lord has been so good to us in a little over a one year of full time ministry, but there have been lessons along the way that we could have never dreamed of. So as I begin my corner of this website, no, it will not be the years of wisdom that my mom can offer. But maybe some of my experiences can encourage those of you just starting out.
